Why it happens

The root cause — in plain English.

Lead-gen forms with no qualification fields produce dirt-cheap leads — and dirt-cheap leads are dirt-cheap for a reason. The platforms optimised for "form submission" because that's what you told them to optimise for. Meanwhile your real customer profile (revenue size, postcode, problem fit) was never sent back into the algorithm. You're paying for the wrong outcome and getting exactly what you asked for.

The first three things we check.

We build a single CAC view that reconciles paid spend, sales-cycle length and CRM-confirmed revenue. Then we segment your last 12 months of "leads" by close rate and average order value. The actionable insight is always the same: 20% of your lead sources produce 80% of your revenue, and you're funding the other 80% out of habit. We then push offline conversion data back to the platforms so they bid on real customers, not form-fillers.
