Why it happens

The root cause — in plain English.

Three quiet killers: you're indexed for queries with no commercial intent, your top landing pages have a contact form below the fold (or behind a tab), or your tracking has been silently broken since the last theme update. Google can be sending you the right traffic and you'd never know — because the only thing measured is "form submission" and the form hasn't fired in eight months.
How we diagnose it

The first three things we check.

We pull Search Console queries-by-page and rank them by commercial intent — "buy", "near me", "[city]", "cost", "quote". If those queries don't exist, you have a content problem. If they exist but don't convert, we screen-record a mobile session on your top three landers and time how long it takes to find a CTA. Last we run a GA4 events audit to confirm form_submit and click_to_call are even firing. One of those three reveals the answer in an hour.
