Most review problems aren't reputation problems — they're asking problems. Happy customers don't leave reviews unprompted; unhappy ones often do. Without a structured ask after every successful job, your review profile is a survivorship-biased complaint board. One: install a request system — automated SMS or email 48 hours after job completion, with a direct link to your Google Profile review form, only triggered for clients with a positive NPS. Two: respond personally to every existing review (good and bad), in detail, in the next 14 days — that single act often lifts the visible rating perception faster than new reviews. Most clients add 30-60 reviews and lift their rating in 90 days.
The cost of waiting

A 4.2-star competitor with 200 reviews crushes a 4.8-star competitor with 12 — buyers read volume as social proof. Every month you don't systemise is a month they pull further ahead.
